Oil Prepares to End The Week With a Decline

While oil prices followed a fluctuating course last week due to supply concerns, the new week started with a decline.

After the sharp fluctuation in oil prices that affected the whole world, the new week started with a downward trend. Brent oil was traded at $110 with a decrease of nearly 2 percent, while US crude oil tested below $107.

The positive signals from the talks between Russia and Ukraine showed its effect on prices. While there was no concrete step on the ceasefire from the meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia and Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out that there were positive developments in the negotiations with Ukraine.

Putin stated that the talks took place almost every day. In addition, it was observed that diplomatic efforts continued to solve the problem.
